VELAYUDHAM
Remake king M. Raja directs this Vijay starrer, which
also stars Genelia D’Souza, Hansika Motwani and
Saranya Mohan. The story, loosely inspired by the
Telugu hit “Azad”, revolves around a journalist,
played by Genelia, and a villager who helps her root
out corruption. There’s the sister angle too, with
Saranya Mohan playing doting sibling yet again.
Music is by Vijay Antony.
RA ONE
This superhero, science fiction, 3D film is Shah Rukh
Khan’s dream project. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, it
stars King Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in
the lead roles, with Rajinikanth essaying a cameo. It
is said to be India’s most expensive film to date.
Music has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar, and the
soundtrack features a song by Akon.
IN TIME
This science fiction thriller about a society that stops
ageing at 25 and where time, rather than money, is
currency is written and directed by Andrew Niccol
who previously directed “Gattaca” and “S1m0ne.”
The film stars Amanda Seyfried, Justin Timberlake
and Cillian Murphy.
